Blue 3

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back!

Welcome to Blue 3!

I hope you have had a lovely summer! My name is Miss Barguss and I am the class teacher. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of teaching and learning with Blue 3! The class TA is Miss Iranzo.

Our topic for this term is ‘Who are we?’ where we will be learning about friendship, identity and how we think and work better together. In English, we are reading Leon & Bob by Simon James, Gregory Cool by Caroline Binch and Moon Man by Tomi Ungerer.

P.E will be on a Tuesday. Please ensure that your child brings their P.E kit in every Tuesday. The School P.E kit consists of; a white T-shirt and blue bottoms (or shorts).

Reading/Book bags
Home reading makes a real difference to children’s learning and progress. Thank you for your support. It would be fantastic if you could spend 15/20 minutes each evening reading with your child, then sign the journal. The journal needs to be signed before we can change your child’s book.

Just to remind you that school starts at 8:50 and finishes at 3:15. Children can come straight up to the classroom from 8:45.

If you would like your child to go ‘home alone’ with an older sibling please see the school office to complete the permission letter. If you are unable to collect your child please contact the school office with details of who will be collecting your child.

Please make sure the office has up to date details of any allergies or medical conditions your child has. Also, please ensure we have the correct contact details for you.

We will be doing Independent Learning projects this term. The children will receive a list of spellings and a times table to learn each week. Spellings and times tables will be tested on Friday each week.

I am available before or after school if there is anything you would like to discuss. Feel free to come and have a chat!

We will be going on a trip on Monday 26th September to Wide Horizons Environment Centre as part of our topic to develop children’s team building skills.

Warm Regards,

Miss Barguss
